Forms of participation

Oral presentation – Presenting an individual research or theme in the duration of 10 minutes, followed by a 5-minute discussion. An abstract of an empirical paper should contain a clearly explained aim and/or research problematic, methodology and main results with indications of their interpretations and main conclusions. These parts of the abstract should be proportionate, and writing style clear and precise. No referent sources are cited in the abstract, and it is desirable to descriptively name the results of statistical analysis.

Oral presentation can be applied as an independent report or presentation within a symposium. In both cases, the following information about the author must be indicated after the title of the abstract: first name, last name, the name of your institution, city, state, and your e-mail address. If the paper has two or more authors, their names are listed in the order they should appear in the program, and information about each of the authors should be listed next to their first and last names (institution, city, state, e-mail). Information about which one of the co-authors is presenting the papers and which one is the person to contact should also be indicated. The text of the abstract should consist of 200-400 words and 3-5 keywords should be listed. The information about the decision of the Program Committee of (not) accepting the application will be given to participants by 1 October 2019 (15 October 2019 for students). The participants whose application is accepted are obliged to register in time in order for their activity to be included in the conference program and book of abstract.

While applying a presentation within the symposium it is necessary to write the title of the symposium before the title of the paper.

Poster presentation – Presentations of various themes which enable a more intense interaction of the author with other participants for the duration of the poster-section. Poster dimensions cannot go over the B1 paper size (707x1000 mm).

If the poster displays the results of an empirical research, the structure and content must be the same as for oral presentations (see Oral presentation).

While applying for the poster presentation, the following information about the author must be indicated after the title of the abstract: first name, last name, the name of your institution, city, state, and your e-mail address. If the poster has two or more authors, their names are listed in the order they should appear in the program, and information about each of the authors should be listed next to their first and last names (institution, city, state, e-mail). Information about which one of the co-authors is presenting the papers and which one is the person to contact should also be indicated. The text of the abstract should consist of 200-400 words and 3-5 keywords should be listed.

Symposium – to apply for the symposium at least 4, and at most 65 presentations by various authors dealing with a mutual theme of a series of thematically connected researched are necessary. The head, who organized and applied the symposium is excepted. The duration of the presentation within the symposium is the same as for other oral presentation. The total duration of the presentation can be 60 or 90 minutes.

Symposium abstract as well as the abstracts of all presentations within the symposium are applied by the head of the symposium.

In the application, the head of the symposium should list (a) the title of the symposium, (b) first and last name, institution, city, state and e-mail of the head, (c) symposium abstract containing the description and explanation of the symposium theme, including an overview of the themes of individual presentation consisting from 200 – 400 words, (d) 3 – 5 keywords, (e) list of titles of all presentations within the symposium (with first and last names of the authors) in the order they should be presented at the symposium. The head of the symposium is responsible for the accuracy of quotations in this abstract with titles and names of authors in abstracts of individual presentations at the symposium, as well as for notifying the participants of the symposium about the decision of the Program committee of (not) accepting the application. In case of inconsistencies in the abstract of the head and abstracts of individual presentations, the Program Committee will not take the symposium application into consideration. In case the symposium is not accepted, the Program Committee will offer the possibility to participate at the conference outside of the keynote symposium to authors of individual presentations which are given a positive review.

The procedure for writing abstracts of individual presentations within the symposium is the same for other oral presentations (see Oral presentation). The author is responsible to prepare their abstract in accordance with all relevant instructions and deliver it on time to the head of the symposium, who will apply their abstract, and the participants are to registers for participation on time. Individual participation will be reviewed separately, and in case of a negative review which reduces the total number of presentations in the symposium below the minimum which was defined earlier, the symposium within which the said presentation is planned will not be accepted. Authors of individual presentations which are given a positive review will be given a possibility to participate at the conference outside of the symposium.

Authors which apply other activities, unrelated to symposium participation, should take the limit of the amount of participation at this conference as well as the registration deadlines into account.
